PARISH LIFE

Ladies Guild

Every lady of the parish over the age of 18 is a member. No dues, the organization is self-supporting. Provides spiritual welfare for members, guest speakers on various women's concerns as well as social activities, and supports the parish in many of its projects. Meetings are in the parish office building on the second Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. All ladies are urged to participate. Read the Ladies Guild flyer.

   

Funeral Dinners

Provides a funeral dinner for the parish family at St. Joseph Hall or at the family home after the funeral. "Comforting the sorrowful" is a spiritual work of mercy. Side dishes and desserts are donated by the women of the parish. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated. Your help is also needed for serving the dinners. Three groups rotate as funerals are scheduled. Please contact one of the coordinators.

   

Pro-Life Committee

 Birthline

An organization that collects items for infants, gives parish baby showers yearly and delivers the items to Catholic Social Services in the Catholic Center.


 Young at Heart

Monthly meetings and activities for seniors of the parish.


 
St. Vincent De Paul

A group of parishioners who respond to the needs of people in crisis within the parish boundaries. They provide temporary shelter, food, clothes, and furniture.

Social Committee

Organizes social functions to bring the parish together and to promote fellowship among parish members. Sponsors the Christmas party and other parish get-togethers. Volunteers are needed.

   

 
Gabriel Project

A Christian-based network of church volunteers who offer assistance to women and families facing crisis pregnancies. Activities are coordinated with service providers and participating parishes.



 
Parish Festival

Major parish fund-raiser that involves many parish members.  Volunteers are always needed.  Food, desserts, refreshments; adult and children's games; country store, raffles and a silent auction are regular features.
